The Limassol District Organisation of Local Government (EOA Limassol) was established on 1 July 2024, pursuant to the District Organisations of Local Government Law of 2022 (N. 37(I)/2022), and operates as a Legal Entity under Public Law. EOA Limassol is responsible for the provision of drinking water, sewerage and wastewater management, stormwater management and flood protection, development licensing through the issuance of Planning and Building Permits, as well as, from 2027, solid waste management in the Limassol district.

Role and contribution of EOA Limassol in the FRESHNESS project
The Limassol District Organisation of Local Government participates as a partner in the FRESHNESS project and is co-responsible for the implementation of pilot applications promoting efficient water and energy use and sustainable water resource management.
